I AM writing in support of S.S. from Subang Jaya regarding his problems over the Streamyx service.

I had the same problem with a new subscription. I signed up for the new Streamyx package, spending money for new phone line wiring and other charges in the first bill, amounting close to RM200. I spent a further RM60 for modem installation.

After a month of countless calls and being told to wait, I finally received a letter from TM stating that I’m not within the coverage area. I find this hard to believe as I know there are subscribers in my area, including my neighbours.

I find myself now to be the proud owner of a RM60 modem which I think I’ll never use as I’m in the process of getting a new Internet device from one of the mobile phone companies.

It is disappointing how the main telecommunications provider in Malaysia provides such poor services to its customers.

The only thing they seem efficient at is disconnecting service for late payment.
