Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
WATER pipes have either been replaced or are in the process of being replaced in these roads — Jalan Nuri, Jalan Undan, Jalan Kedidi and Jalan Merak.
These are just a few of the many roads in Section 6, Shah Alam, which have come under the water supply improvement programme.
While replacement of pipes for the better is laudable, the condition of the roads after the work is done leaves much to be desired.
The refilling and resurfacing of roads where pipe-laying has been carried is shoddy, to say the least.
The road surfaces are uneven because of the formation of ruts, flutes and depressions, rendering them not only uncomfortable but also hazardous to road users.
Just a few weeks ago, a bus got bogged down on one part of Jalan Nuri, which had been dug, refilled and resurfaced.
The unsightly and bad conditions of the roads do not speak well of Shah Alam as the capital of a developed state.
