Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
Dear Editor, WE refer to the letter ‘Airline rapped over lost bag’, by J. Lim.
Singapore Airlines takes baggage issues seriously and we have launched an investigation into the incident.
Lim’s niece travelled domestic American carriers before connect ing to a Singapore Airlines’ flight from Los Angeles to Kuala Lumpur via Singapore.
Under security laws in the US, selected checked-in baggage may be opened for screening purposes.
As the checked baggage went through various processes in dif ferent locations before arriving in Kuala Lumpur, the cause of the theft has yet to be confirmed.
We understand the stress that the lost items have caused Lim and her niece.
We are currently co-operating with her in her claims.
Ong Kee Keat
