Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
MY family and I recently visited Taman Negara in Pahang. Despite the pre-monsoon weather, we had a great time.
We trekked to places like the Ear Cave (Gua Telinga), Lata Berkoh, canopy walkway and Orang Asli settlement. At Lata Berkoh, we had the natural cascading pool to ourselves.
What an inspirational surrounding and experience. The nature interpretation centre was very informative, including the nightly free video shows. The hospitality and environment made us feel at home.
However, we noticed rubbish in the Kuala Tahan village, located opposite Taman Negara. Perhaps the local authorities and village heads need to create awareness on the importance of cleanliness. Rubbish bins must be placed accordingly.
The cave experience united the family on the importance of teamwork. However, the signage leading to the Ear Cave were inadequate.
We hope the good work in Taman Negara will be maintained while the shortfalls corrected by the local council.
