Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
RECENTLY, my wife had the traumatising experience of being a victim of a snatch thief.
Besides the injuries sustained as she was dragged along the sidewalk, she lost her identity card, driving licence, etc.
I am writing in to say a few words of appreciation for the exemplary service we encountered while at the Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara Malaysia office in Jalan Anson, Penang, to get a replacement for her MyKad.
Cik Fauziyah Omar Khatab attended to us. Please extend our heartfelt appreciation for the most courteous, warm and efficient service rendered.

I AM very disappointed with POS Malaysia. I received two letters on Jan 5, one was stamped with the post office “Kelana Jaya S’gor” and postmarked 05.12.07. This mail contained vouchers with the expiry date Dec 26, 2007.
The other was a Telekom bill dated November 2007. (I received the December 2007 bill a week earlier).
And this is not the first time it happened. Recently, my company, located in the Klang Lama area, received letters dated a month ago. May I know how long it takes to deliver letters within the Klang Valley?
I hope that POS Malaysia can give an explanation on the above matter and make sure it does not happen again.

EFFECTIVE 2008 rates for trading stocks on the Internet are fully negotiable.
Non-Internet rates are a minimum of RM40. Sadly brokers are charging minimum RM40 for all trades, with a 30% discount for Internet trading. Is this right?

A FEW days ago, I stopped at a 24-hour restaurant in Desa Pandan for a midnight snack. As the weather was fine, I sat at a table by the roadside. To my horror, I saw rats as big as cats below the tables looking for food.
Apart from the possibility of being bitten, patrons also face other dangers from the rats, which might spread diseases.
I do hope the authorities will do something before the coming Year of the Rat.
