Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
I AM confused over the legal drinking age in Malaysia. Wikipedia states the legal purchasing and drinking age of alcohol in Malaysia is 21.
The International Centre for Alcohol Policies notes that the legal purchasing age is 18. Most websites seem to dither between 18 and 21.
I posed this question to several people, and the general consensus is that it is 18, since you can smoke and buy alcohol at this age, Is this true?
Also, many bars and pubs allow those 18 years and above to enter and drink. Then there are bars and clubs that only allow those above 21. Why is this?
