Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
I AM responding to C.C.M. from Subang Jaya who wrote about the trouble she had registering her son at a school in Subang Jaya (”Manners shock for a parent” — NST, Jan 8).
According to C.C.M, the school staff was arrogant. I am not surprised as I got the same treatment from a school in Johor Baru.
I called to inquire about registering my 5-year-old son in SRJK (C) Foon Yew 1 in Kebun Teh.
I was attended to by a woman who did not even greet me. She answered the phone in a rude and agitated manner as well. I asked her about the registration and the documents I needed to bring along.
All she had to say was that the registration was in March and I needed to bring along the “normal” documents.
It being the first time for me, I did not know what “normal” documents meant. I asked her and she once again answered with arrogance.
I wonder why the frontliners handle queries in such a manner. I urge the headmaster to seriously look into this matter.
