Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
Dear Editor, I WAS scolded by a 7-Eleven cashier because of RM50.
On Sunday, I went to a 7-Eleven at 8.45am to buy a newspaper and sweets. The items cost RM5.
Unfortunately, I ran out of small change and gave the cashier a RM50 note. I apologised to her for not having smaller change.
She snatched the RM50 note and grumbled at me with a sour face. I was shocked by her attitude.
I told her that if she does not have change for the RM50 note, she should tell me. She started scolding me. I was humiliated and irritated.
Hopefully, 7-Eleven management can monitor all their outlets and flush out ill-mannered staff.

You are obviously a nice and good natured person who bumped into a girl with a bad morning, and attitude. Lucky for you you are not her. And in this respect you should feel sorry for her. Overcome the bad with the good that is in you. The next time you face a similar situation, change tactic, and you may even change the mood and attitude of the other person. A little joke may also help unruffle a bad moment. Try it.
