Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
AS a long-time Bukit Kiara jogger, I am sick and saddened to see excavators at work on one of the last remaining green lungs in the city.
It took years of painstaking effort to build the Bukit Kiara trails for joggers, mountain bikers and hikers to enjoy.
These natural trails have now been replaced by wide tracks.
In the process, many trees have been struck down and bulldozed.
This will surely contribute to soil erosion or landslides and have an adverse effect on the ecological system.
KL City Hall should clear the air on what is happening and how this present activity jibes with the earlier promise to turn this area into a world-class park similar to Hyde Park in London.
In the meantime, the rape of Bukit Kiara should stop immediately.
The public has a right to know what is going on.
Even if wider trails are needed, it should be done with “tender loving care”.
