Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
Dear Editor, EARLIER this year, I had a pleas ant experience using the new KL-Putrajaya highway. The high way is well-located and provides an alternative to traffic congestion in the city.
However, my brother, who rides a motorcycle, has told me that the relief was short-lived.
A few days ago, he was denied entry into the highway and witnessed a patrol car chasing an other motorcycle off the highway.
Annoyed, my brother called the highway hotline and was surprised to find that the staff were not aware that motorcyclists were not allowed to use the highway.
According to them, the high way, which is supposed to provide a direct and free-flow link from KL to KLIA and Putrajaya, was built for the luxury and comfort of
VIPs to attend important meetings.
Should this be the case, I am shocked by the ignorance and nonchalant attitude by the parties involved. Don’t non-VIPs deserve to arrive at meetings and engagements on time as well?
I hope a clarification will be provided by the company soon.
