WITH four Malaysian Open badminton titles in the bag, Lee Chong Wei now ranks among the badminton greats of Malaysia.
Wong Peng Soon, the maestro, Ooi Teik Hock, the Malayan Open champion, and Eddie Choong, the most prolific title holder with four open and eight international titles, ruled the badminton world of yesteryear.
Now it is Lee Chong Wei’s turn.
With his deft touches, neat net play, cross-court smashes and a bagful of tricks up his sleeve, Chong Wei comes through brilliantly and delightfully.
It is a pleasure to watch Chong Wei in action.
Malaysia is proud of his prowess in badminton and the nation looks forward to more fine performances from him this year, especially at the Beijing Olympics.
