I AM pleased to relate a very good experience I had at the Immigration Division of the Malaysian High Commission in London. When I lost my Malaysian passport, I immediately called the High Commission for advice.

Zahari Abdul Aziz, the Immigration Attache, answered my call personally. He was extremely helpful in advising on how to apply for a replacement passport when I told him that I needed one urgently as I was en-route to a company meeting in New York.

He told me to come prepared with all the necessary papers to prove my nationality and identity.

When I arrived at his office, despite his very busy schedule, he personally checked my application form to ensure that it was filled in properly and asked his assistant to prepare a new passport for me.

I was given a new passport within two hours. As a result, I was able to rush to Heathrow airport to catch a flight to New York.

I am very grateful to Zahari and his staff at the High Commission for their excellent service, kindness and sense of urgency in processing my application. It made me very proud to be a Malaysian.

EWE SAM KOOI,

London, UK.
