Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
I am a resident living nearby Mc Client’s florist along Jalan SS2/66. I would like to express my disgust on how the florist indiscriminately parks their vehicles along the perimeter of their shop. Taking that the florist is located at the corner lot (Lot No. 57) of Jalan SS2/66, their company vans are parked along Jalan SS2/75 in front of residential units. Since the florist has taken effort to landscape the side of their shop, vans and trucks parked along this road cause inconvenience to the nearby residents’ ingress and egress.
I have been very patient with the matter but of late, with Chinese New Year around the corner, the florist has stacked flowers all around the compound leaving no place for parking. Customers would park all around the area in a disorganized fashion. I am curious to know as to why the Local Council (MBPJ) hasn’t done anything yet. I have lodged a report via the MBPJ online complaints system (e-aduan) but to no avail, as action has yet to be taken.
The daily inconvenience caused can no longer be tolerated. I do hope that Mc Client’s Florist or the Local Council will take immediate action to rectify this matter.

I also am a resident in ss2.
I have to say, McClient is located at the heart of ss2, thus, like any other shops (esp. the ones that are running a chinese new year sale e.g. the bakwa stores & the mandrin orange stores by the road sides) this is a busy period for ss2.
Besides, i don’t see any of Mcclient’s lime trees on the road, they’re all within their own premises.
Honestly, could you blame them for their customers? shouldn’t this be a public matter, that the public themselves are not responsible car owners, rather than the shop owner?
Besides, even during normal days i see irresponsible car owners parking at our residence area and take a short walk to the bank or to buy groceries. Even more during this festive period as all the stores are having sales. It is very frustrating sometimes.
No doubt, ss2 is developing even more compared to the last 5 years, so the amount of noise(traffic), air(burning bakwa!) polution will increase.
Perhaps it is not as suitable for residency as before. look at all the housing-lots being converted into shops.
Well, all i have to say is..Welcome to SS2!

Placing of ‘kat chai’ or lime plants all the way along the driveway leaves very little space for customers to park. To stop and load the car, the florist should provide an area which does not inconvenience road users. It is not fair to stop your car in the middle of the road to load your car with goods. It causes congestion and potential accidents. The florist trucks and vans park along Jalan SS2/75 (even in front of their no parking signage) in a manner causing difficulties for their neighbours to move in and out. The other stalls that you are speaking about (i.e. selling fruits, etc.) are within the commercial premises.
I am simply pleading for Mc Client to be more civic minded. Should they opt to have a shop within a residential area, they should be more responsible and courteous. They have caused no other problems besides traffic congestions which is utterly unfair to you and me. Surrounding bridal studios provide proper parking for both their staff and their customers. This does not create congestion on the main roads. The florist may be have been granted commercial status but as I understand, they have to operate within the limits of a residential area.

Dear Melissa,
Like you too, I have similar problems with a tuition centre in JB. I have submitted my complaints via the JPJ website but to no avail. The only way is for you to head down to the nearest police station to lodge an official report against the florist.
