Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
TRAFFIC jams between Petaling Jaya and Jalan Klang Lama have been going on for years, and they get from bad to worse during peak periods.
A few years ago, one smart alec came up with an idea to build a one-way flyover from Jalan Templer to Jalan Gasing. I’m sure the flyover cost a few million ringgit.
Motorists refer to it as a white elephant.
After a study of the situation and having observed policemen on duty closing a portion of the roundabout between 5pm and 7.30pm everyday, I’ve come up with another idea.
Every evening between 5 and 7.30, policemen should block the use of the flyover for motorists from Jalan Klang Lama and use it instead for motorists from Jalan Gasing to Jalan Klang Lama.
To prevent traffic congestion, the flyover must also be connected to Jalan Templer. The immediate implementation of this system will bring great relief to motorists.
