Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
Dear Editor, I AM proud to call myself a fan of the reality TV show One In A Million. This is why I am dis appointed that the event will not be aired live on 8TV.
It is unfortunate that the show’s fans will be deprived of watching it live due to the Malaysian Communication and Multime dia Commission’s decision to ban 8TV from airing any local and in ternational live or delayed enter tainment shows for three months, including One In A Million 2, Project Superstar 3 and American Idol.
The decision came about after OIAM alumni Faizal Tahir performed a chest-baring routine during 8TV’s fourth anniversary concert at Central Park Avenue in Bandar Utama in January.
I was looking forward to at tending the OIAM grand finale or watching the events unfold live on television. For me, it is a thrill watching the events take place on stage the same time it happens.
It is disappointing for me to learn of the development. I’m sure I’m not the only one. There are probably many fans who feel the same way.
I plead to the authorities to reconsider their decision.
This plea, I am sure, is shared by many of the show’s fans who agree that there is no thrill quite like watching a live show.
