Play a part in demanding virtue
26Feb2008 Malay MailDear Editor, I WOULD like to stress to the public the importance of voting.
Citizens have an important role to play in examining and judging the principles and pledges of each political party.
If the governing body is corrupt and ignorant, it is because we tolerate ignorance and corruption.
However, if it is intelligent, brave, bold and fearless, it is be cause we have demanded that these qualities represent our national legislature.
Vote wisely so that we cansecure a trusting society which God and our country require of us.

This is the result of years of indoctrination. From young we are taught not to question things and just go with the flow. When we reach adulthood, our minds have been brainwashed into not caring about anything else except our own survival.
