Dear Editor, I REFER to the article yesterday on seven-year-old Syareez Aiman Atan who was badly injured in a freak accident on Feb 20 at Kompleks Amaniah in Jalan Batu Caves.

I was pleased to learn that the Selangor Religious Council (Mais) has come forward to help them.

I sympathise with Aiman as he has had to suffer due to the carelessness of the building’s contractor.

I am overwhelmed by the support shown by The Malay Mail in highlighting his plight.

Aiman deserves the help as he is innocent and had a bright future ahead, which is now cast in doubt.

I hope The Malay Mail will continue highlighting the plight of the community and stories of those who have gone unheard.

It is important that our society is aware of such issues.

I also hope that the contractor will realise the con sequence of not adhering to proper work ethics.

The contractor’s incompetence is unforgivable, especially considering the pain Aiman and his family had to endure.

I believe that what goes around comes around.

Aiman’s case serves as a re minder to contractors who are out to make a quick buck by cutting corners.

I hope that they think again before another innocent per son takes the fall.
