Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
Dear Editor, I REFER to the article yesterday about a salesgirl who was allegedly raped after being held captive for four days because she wanted her ‘friend’ to repay the RM350 that he owed to her.
I was horrified as it made me realise that even your friends can turn around and hurt you.
The victim had actually helped this friend by lending him the money but was repaid with those heinous acts.
I feel sorry for the victim and am disappointed with our society.
It was inhuman of that man to not only rob her of her money but also of her dignity..
Why would someone resort to such a heinous crime?
The culprit should be severely punished for his inhuman and heinous acts.
All parties, including the police, should co-operate to try to curb these social issues.
Heavier penalties should be introduced so criminals will think twice before breaking the law.
I think it pays to take extra precautions when dealing with people, be it friend or foe.
Your closest friend could be the next rapist or robber.
