Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
Dear Editor,
DATUK Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil may have lost her Lembah Pantai parliamentary seat to newcomer Nurul Izzah Anwar, but she has my respect for being a sport.
I admire her for sharing her comments with reporters on Saturday, unlike others who refused to do so after their losses.
She outshone them by accepting defeat gracefully.
She was a responsible leader who turned Lembah Pantai into a metropolitan jewel with much effort throughout her tenure.
Her advice during the Press conference also reflects how she views defeat. When she told the Press that politicians never say die, it shows that she has a positive spin on life.
Although the people have spoken through the ballot box, Shahrizat still manages to praise the rakyat and respects their decision. She also did not forget to thank her supporters who had stood by her.
Lembah Pantai residents will surely miss Shahrizat’s presence.
