Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
WHAT else is there to say except “thank you” and “congratulations” to Nicol Ann David, Malaysia’s No. 1 squash player, Women’s International Squash Players Association’s 2006 and 2007 Player of the Year award recipient and two-time world No. 1 woman squash player.
The “thank you” is for making Malaysia well known in the world of squash and the “congratulations” is for winning and retaining the CIMB Kuala Lumpur Open title for a record five times since the tournament’s inception in 2000.
It was a proud and wonderful moment to see her standing tall and making sure a Malaysian is the champion.
What a nice feeling it was not only for her and her parents but for all Malaysians as well.
She has proven that anything is possible if one is passionate enough to make it happen.
However, since there will be a long break before the start of the British Open in May, it is hoped that she will not rest on her laurels while waiting for the big day to come but train harder to regain the title from Rachael Grinham.
Go for it, Nicol.
There is no reason you cannot do it and we are praying for your victory in the British Open.
