Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
I LIVE in Sri Haneco Industrial Park in Semenyih. Officers from the health department have been coming here to fog the area every now and then. I think they are putting the cart before the horse.
MPKJ should go to the unoccupied houses and shop houses and check for mosquitoes. Since no one stays in these empty premises, I believe the Aedes must be thriving in the toilets, water tanks and perhaps even in the unkempt gardens.
Along the lanes behind these shop houses are piles of rubbish which have been laying there since I first moved in three years ago.
Apart from that, residents throw bags of rubbish and discard their furniture as and where they please.
Dogs drag and litter the bags of rubbish all over the place. We have a committee which arranges “gotong royong” every now and then, but this is not enough.
Perhaps if MPKJ is more vigilant we can eradicate the Aedes once and for all. I think we deserve better treatment.
ANNE LAI,
Semenyih.
