I WAS at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport domestic flight departure lounge waiting for embarkation on March 20 about 8.30pm.
There were a few announcements about the change in departure gates for local and international flights in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
The lack of announcements in Mandarin caused much inconvenience to travellers who could only speak Mandarin.
Upon inquiring, I was told that announcements in Mandarin were made only occasionally. I hope the minister of transport will look into this.
