Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
I WOULD like to highlight some issues happening around Cyberjaya. I don’t feel safe anymore living in my own country.
First, about the drivers in the Cyberjaya area. I can say most of them are students from either MMU (Multimedia University) or another college.
I don’t know if they have a licence to drive but they never follow the rules.
For example, they never stop at junctions, drive extremely fast without concern for the safety of others, don’t use the indicator and most of the accidents that happen in this area are caused by foreign drivers.
They would stop the car in the middle of the road and show no respect to other drivers.
Whenever we try to point out their faults such as parking their cars in the middle of the road, they would become aggressive.
As a woman, I don’t feel safe. I would appreciate it if the authorities took action to solve this problem.
The next is the taxi drivers. They are very rude. One day, I was waiting for my friend for less than three minutes near a bus stop and a taxi driver asked me not to stop there because the area was for taxis.
As far as I know, that is not a specific area for taxis because it is a bus stop. The taxi driver was very aggressive.
The last is the illegal car rental business. I understand that there are more than 100 cars involved the business. The cars are parked near the Cyberia condominium, blocking the view of other drivers.
MASAYU NAEMAT,
Cyberjaya.
