THE woes of Tamil schools have been aired on several occasions.

While some have been addressed, those concerned have turned a blind eye to other pressing problems, such as the land issue of SRJK (Tamil) Kajang.

The school has overcrowded classrooms, no proper playground and a lack of parking places and pick-up points.

The overcrowding problem will be solved with the construction of a three-storey extension.

As for the land issue, no solution seems to be in sight.

It is understood that a large tract of land next to the school was sold by the previous state government to a company for a housing project.

This is a case where commercial interests have overridden education priorities.

Can anyone lend the school a hand in this matter?
