Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
I HAVE a young son, aged 3-plus, who was born premature. He is currently attending nursery school. I suspect he suffers from mild autism.
Can I, as his mother, keep him in kindergarten for a year or so, until I think he is ready to attend primary school?
This is because attending public school with large numbers of pupils when he is not really ready will do him more harm than good.
I am concerned that he will be labelled as slow and bypassed by his teachers. My small town does not have the facilities to educate and give the same opportunities to mild autistic students.
