Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
ALL Malaysians want the judiciary to be revamped. And, to quote the Regent of Perak Raja Dr Nazrin Shah during the opening of the judges conference recently, Malaysia needs nothing short of a judicial renaissance.
We sincerely hope that the powers that be will be bold enough to undertake the required reforms, which we believe can be drastic.
Our hopes are not without some apprehension when we seem unable or unwilling to pin down who is responsible for the present judicial shortcomings in the first place.
The need to establish who is responsible is imperative to put it on record so that history will judge whatever happened in a proper perspective.
Identifying the source of the problem should be the starting point for our judicial reforms and we should tell the Malaysian people accordingly, to restore their confidence in our judiciary.
