Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
Dear Editor, FOR the KL mayor to be in the dark about a court order issued
to stop work on Bukit Gasing borders on contempt of court.
It’s not possible for that the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing in City Hall. His lacklustre attitude in waiting for his officers to brief him on the stop work order rather than act on it is unbecoming of a top official. Why does it take so long for City Hall to order the developer to cease work on Bukit Gasing? Our city lacks green areas and open spaces. It would be wise if concrete jungles are balanced by na t u re. The KL mayor should listen to dissenting voices of the residents rather than cater to special g ro u p s. They only have profit in mind when developing areas for expensive housing projects and do not consider the fears and sentiments of residents. Hamdan Ibrahim Kuala Lumpur
