Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
THE recent spate of robberies, break-ins, murders, rapes and kidnappings have reached worrisome levels.
My relative’s house in Da-mansara Utama, Petaling Ja-ya, was broken into three times. The last break-in was last month.
However, despite numerous police reports, nothing much was done by the police. I don’t blame them. They cannot do much. The perpetrators can outsmart them any day.
The latest break-in occurred on April 10. The family was traumatised. It is a good thing nobody was home. The break-in before this occurred during the day.
Their neighbour called them at work to tell them their house doors and gates were wide open.
When my relative went to report the incident, the police officer seemed nonchalant. This caused her to lose her temper as she had gone through this ordeal three times.
Another officer told her that on that particular day, three other houses in the area were robbed. Damansara Utama is obviously a goldmine for burglars.
