Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
DEAR Editor, I REFER to the article ‘City Hall questioned over hill side project’ published in The Malay Mail yesterday.
I was surprised to read that City Hall has been giving residents of Bukit Gasing the runaround when they
opposed the hillside development of the Sanctuary Ridge Kuala Lumpur City pro ject.
This shows that City Hall has not been transparent in their actions.
I couldn’t agree more with lawyer Derek Fernandez when he said that City Hall was either ignorant or lying.
I am disappointed that City Hall has not considered the objections of the 5,000 residents in the area, whose lives will be endangered by the project.
It is fishy that City Hall claimed they did not issue a development order for the project.
The fact that work on developing the land has been going on reflects the ignorance of City Hall.
It is also disappointing that despite obtaining a stop-work order, the residents’ plight has fallen on deaf ears.
That Deputy Federal Territories Minister failed to provide the public with clarity in his statements reflects badly on City Hall’s ability to handle matters.
It is better to be transparent with the people.
