Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
I AM surprised and happy to read your front page editorial “Get on with the Job” (NST, April 16).
It is indeed time for every Malaysian to let the prime minister get on with his job.
The PM and also leaders of the five states under the Pakatan Rakyat need to undo the damage sustained over the past two decades, including the side-effects of the “Sulit Syndrome” used to cover up the unpardonable waste of public funds and corrupt practices.
We may need to protect national secrets where it is in the national interest but not to camouflage corrupt practices. In this respect, I’m all for what the Selangor menteri besar is doing.
The Barisan Nasional’s recent election setback is not the responsibility of Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi alone but also the responsibility of all the BN component parties, their leaders and members.
What we need now is stability so that Abdullah can rectify the problems created by his predecessor which were reflected in the election results.
