Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
Dear Editor, I AGREE with the government’s view that there is a need to re-evaluate the use of the English language to teach mathematics and science.
As stated by the Prime Minister, the government will consider us ing Bahasa Malaysia for these subjects. This will help in providing better education to pupils, especially in suburbs and rural areas. This will allow them to compete on a level playing field with those in urban areas. Although English is important, we cannot neglect our national language. A lot of research is needed to produce better products and I believe we can do that with a better education system. Concerned teacher Klang
