Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
I WRITE in disappointment regarding the postal service I have received in general, particularly delivery. I have been tolerating their inefficiencies for a long time and it is time to speak up.
I have friends overseas who send me parcels of gifts for personal use on a regular basis. Most of the time, I do not receive them. Nor do I receive any letter or notice saying that no one was around when the delivery was attempted or that the items were being held by Customs. Nothing at all.
On many occasions, the postmen have claimed that no one was around to receive the items when they came to deliver. Yet, whenever I try to arrange for a re-delivery, it never happens as well and I still have to go to the post office to collect it, provided it is not missing.
The straw that broke the camel’s back was when I came home on April 22 and saw my mail lying on the floor of my porch. I live in a housing area where the postbox is built into a pillar with a slot that’s working fine. Why didn’t the postman use the postbox?

Are you a foreigner?Welcome to Malaysia! You will get use to it.Trust me.
I didn’t use Pos M’sia since they lost my application document for my job 10+ years ago.If the document is important, always use Fed Ex.Pay more for better service. You pay peanut, you get monkey.
Don’t bother to complaint. They never change.Just like our government department. It’s essentially PEOPLE in an organisation who makes the difference. You won’t get better service by giving concessionaire.
