WE had complained to Astro about not being able to view certain channels. Its customer service officers arranged for their technicians to come over to our house.

The officer said that the service charge would be RM50 and that our Astro was still under warranty.

The technicians came to our house and did what was necessary to rectify the problem and then demanded RM170 from my wife for services and parts replaced.

My wife argued that the agreement was only for a RM50 charge. They refused to leave and stayed for quite a while until my wife said she didn’t have any more money.

At 3.10pm, a man from Astro’s technical department in Kuala Lumpur called me to demand the rest of the payment.

I told him to get someone from customer service to call me for confirmation but he got upset and threatened me. He also said he was sending the technicians back to my house to dismantle what they had replaced.

They then came back to our house and wanted to replace their receipt issued earlier to my wife. My wife refused to deal with them.

Just what is going on here?
