I READ with disgust the news that South Korea took advantage of the Thomas Cup competition format, which was admitted by their team manager, Kim Jong-soo.

When Malaysia and South Korea met, I was quite thrilled when Lee Chong Wei and Wong Choon Hann won their respective matches, but was frustrated to hear from the commentator that South Korea did not field their best line-up even against England.

Although Badminton World Federation deputy president Datuk Punch Gunalan said that South Korea did not commit any offence, I feel that they have done a lot of damage to the sport. The BWF should take serious steps to avoid such recurrence.

I hope that Denmark will teach them a lesson by beating them at their own game.

As for Malaysia, I believe we have a balanced team and if the players can rise to the occasion, I am sure they can bring the cup back to Malaysia.
