Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
AS a concerned citizen, parent and teacher, I find it disturbing to hear that the Education Ministry may revert to using Bahasa Malaysia to teach Science and Mathematics. I think this would be a step backward.
The teaching of Science and Mathematics in English has been going on for five or six years. Now, we are starting to hear students talk about photosynthesis, respiration, combustion and electrolysis in English. Students are adapting themselves to all these positive changes. Are we going to stop all this just because a few parents or politicians who are not fluent in English have complained?
I really hope that the teaching of Science and Mathematics in English will be continued and improved further for the benefit of our children and our country.
