I AM truly sorry for giving the wrong information on what the Kuala Lumpur Sports Council is doing for the archers in preparations for the Sukma Games “Help KL archers hit the target” (NST, April 14). The KLSC is doing a great job in helping us for the Sukma, and I have said some things I shouldn’t have.

I would personally like to apologise to the director of the KLSC for causing her problems. She is doing the very best she possibly can in helping us for the Games, and I have misjudged her efforts. Please accept my sincere apologies as I am feeling very guilty.

I acted alone. I have also misrepresented my club. I would like to apologise to all my club committee members, especially my team manager who received many stressful phone calls owing to my irresponsible action, my coach whom I really look up to, archers, as well as friends, as they have felt that I have betrayed them.

I sincerely apologise to anyone who may feel offended. I was going though tremendous problems, both physically and mentally, when I wrote the previous letter. I have said many wrong things that have created problems in the KLSC, as well as my archery club.

Please accept my sincere apologies. I promise never to question the way things are being handled again by both the KLSC as well as the Wilayah Persekutuan Sports Council.

HARVINDER SINGH, Kuala Lumpur
