Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
WHY don’t we have a system whereby members of state executive councils who are eligible to use official cars purchase them on a loan from the state, and use and maintain these cars during their tenure in office?
They should also be given a driver’s allowance as well as mileage, as is the practice with government servants.
In this way, the state will not have to maintain and upkeep these cars and incur expenses. In the meantime, the Mercedes Benzes already purchased by Terengganu should come under the Prime Minister’s Department and be deployed to states when necessary. Otherwise, they would be underused.
