I AM
a regular user of the Ampang-KL Elevated Highway (Akleh) and had accepted the government’s decision to open the expressway to motorcyclists with an open mind.

However, having seen a few near misses involving these motorcyclists on the highway makes me wonder whether the decision was a wise one.

I believe the earlier prohibition on motorcyclists was basically a safety measure, but was lifted after the petrol price hike and not after expansion work on the highway to cater to motorcyclists.

So are we going to wait for a “sacrifice” before making a wise decision?
