WE often hear of calls for the government to provide for all our needs.

Our requests for government assistance are never-ending. We often think that the government is some entity apart, some overwhelming power that should do everything for us.

It isn’t and it cannot do all for us.

We must play our part, too.

If we aren’t careful, someday we may just give up all entirely and let the government think for us!

Agreed, some safeguards are necessary for an orderly society, but it would be a sad day when we ourselves do nothing, and then claim we have few rights and freedoms.
