Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
LATELY, there has been a barrage of criticism about services provided by utilities like Tenaga Nasional Bhd, Telekom Malaysia and RapidKL.
But let me narrate my surprisingly wonderful experience with TM Streamyx.
On Aug 18, my Streamyx service was interrupted by a thunderstorm. The lightning damaged the modem and my computer port for broadband connection.
I called the TM call centre and the staff was helpful. Two days later, a technician was sent to my house. He told us that the modem and port were damaged.
He replaced the modem (at no charge) and told us to get the computer repaired.
We got the computer repaired and tried to get connected, but were not successful. We called the call centre again where an employee tried her best to help us.
We couldn’t establish a connection (despite the guidance over the phone), so she sent a technician to my home the next day. He settled the problem. At the end, everybody was happy with their response.
