Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
I REFER to the letter from Tan Foong Luen of Seremban on Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek’s role as deputy president of the Malaysian Chinese Association (”He did it right” — NST, Nov 18) and MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat’s attempt to keep Chua in “cold storage” in the party.
What the MCA president has done is his business and prerogative as party chief.
But I would like to ask: Is there no word like “forgiveness” in our dictionary?
MCA members, by and large, forgave Chua when they elected him as deputy MCA chief, despite his earlier indiscretions when he was a cabinet minister.
Is this no indicator of anything?
