Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
IT is good to read that highway concessionaire PLUS Expressways is considering a 10 per cent discount for motorists using its highways (”PLUS highway users to pay less during off-peak hours” — NST, Nov 19) for two years with effect from January through its three toll incentive programmes to motorists.
The yet-to-be-approved 10 per cent discount by PLUS bondholders will be from midnight to 7am.
I take it that the discount is PLUS’ way of reducing the burden of highway users financially besides encouraging them to use the highways. But it would be even better if it could change the allotted time (midnight to 7am) to 6pm to midnight.
