Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
I REFER to Dr Chandra Muzaffar’s letter, “Playing to the majority’s tune” (NST, Nov 17).
He wrote that president-elect Barack Obama went out of his way to prove that he is acceptable to white Americans. Maybe Chandra should understand that the years of accusations of racism levied against white Americans by race-baiters like Reverend Jesse Jackson has taken a toll on white Americans.
That guilt was translated into votes by white elite liberals. Jackson, by the way, was caught off-guard saying that Obama is not black enough.
Chandra should not just read the liberal left-wing media which gave favourable reporting on Obama.
There was hardly any criticism or any investigative reporting on Obama, especially pertaining to his relationship with convicted felon Tony Rezko, his support for infanticide, his inexperience in the US Senate and liberal voting record.
Obama did not denounce Reverend Jeremy Wright despite criticism and revelations that Wright’s sermons were filled with hate against whites, Jews and were anti-American. All the while, Obama sat in the church for 20 years.
