Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
I AM flabbergasted at the revelation of more than 30 per cent of driving instructors in Perak failing the traffic tests conducted by the Road Transport Department (RTD) for learner drivers. Now, Perak RTD will be testing these instructors again.
I don’t know when these instructors were last tested on their knowledge and skills in driving. But I can safely say it must have been quite a long time ago. Or perhaps they were never checked at all in the past.
No wonder we have so many road accidents. The very people we entrust to teach learner drivers are themselves unqualified.
If the instructors are not up to standard, they should be barred from teaching learner drivers.
