I AM a fan of the English Premier League. I understand why there are many who prefer foreign football to Ma-laysian football.

Recently, I watched the FA Cup final between Kelantan and Selangor. A few disturbing trademarks of Malaysian football were visible, namely the throwing of items such as plastic bottles onto the pitch.

Did you notice how some players like to swarm around the ball?

Everybody is going after the ball without really thinking about it. In the end, we see a field full of grown-ups who play like kids.

I might not be a Shebby Singh, but I can tell if a team plays well or badly.

Not to underestimate anyone, but I think we need an overhaul of the playing style.
