THE long jail sentence and hefty fine imposed by the Ampang Sessions Court on Abdul Kudus Ahmad, the former enforcement director of the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council, should serve as a strong reminder to our civil servants not to indulge in corrupt practices as the consequences might be severe if you are caught.
Our civil servants should work with integrity and give their best when serving the public.
They should emulate the two policemen who refused to accept a big bribe from a drug syndicate to close their eyes to their illegal activities.
