Current issues, feedback & complaints on public services in Malaysia
SOMETIMES in the play-acting and peculiarity of Malaysian politics, some either forget or conveniently ignore that laws are meant to be followed by everyone and are not optional items that one can pick and choose.
I am totally exasperated and bewildered at the shenanigans in Penang where business people have been having a go at the government for confiscating items from illegal stalls and set-ups, and in Selangor where a registered charity which has not filed accounts for yonks is having a beef with the government for pursuing that matter.
Everyone must be reminded that laws of the land are supreme. Although selective prosecution and enforcement are widely practised, this is not the correct way to go if we indeed wish to be a progressive country hoping to benefit from a creative economy and making Malaysia a high-
income economy.
Everytime someone who is doing the right thing is attacked for expediency, the rakyat must always remember who is right and who is wrong.
