I REFER to “Veterans’ families seek compensation” (Letters, Sept 3). Capt Dan Todman of the 4th Battalion of the Straits Settlements Volunteer Force (4SSVF) or Malacca Volunteer Corps (MVC) succeeded in obtaining pensions for all the 4SSVF veterans or their beneficiaries after the war.
